Enrol your kids in soccer training with some of Europe's best players

BC’s soccer-savvy youth are getting the opportunity to train with some of Europe’s best, as the Real Madrid Foundation kicks off it’s 2017 spring clinics.

The soccer club is bringing professional coaches from Spain to conduct five-day soccer clinics for players between eight and 16-years-old.

The clinics will focus on playing soccer “the real way,” teaching players how to hone their speed, agility, and flexibility through a strength and conditioning program.

But don’t think these clinics are too basic – the true focus is on the technical and the tactical, with intense strength and conditioning. Players with previous experience in soccer can sign up, as can soccer coaches.

There are two different clinics from the Real Madrid Foundation: one in Burnaby and one in Surrey. The Burnaby clinic goes from March 13 to 17, and the Surrey one from March 20 to 24.

Each clinic will have group sessions for three and a half hours each day, and provide daily snacks to keep the players alert and active.

There’s another reason for kids to sign up for the Real Madrid clinics – and it’s not all about improving their game. Part of the revenue from these clinics will go to support BC kids who can’t afford to play soccer.

Clinics cost $399, and you can register online. For more information, visit the Real Madrid Foundation on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
