Toronto Raptors bringing special two-day pop up to Vancouver restaurant

The Toronto Raptors are bringing a special pop-up to a Vancouver restaurant ahead of their upcoming preseason game.
Raptors players will invade Rogers Arena on Oct. 6 as they host a preseason game against the Denver Nuggets. It’s a game that will give Raptors fans in Vancouver a rare chance at seeing their team outside of Toronto.
That won’t be the only thing that basketball fans can get excited about, as the Raptors will also bring a two-day pop-up event to Vancouver’s Chinatown BBQ on Oct. 4 and 5 before the big game.
This will include a new dish called “the Raptors Triple Bite BBQ Noodles” being added to the menu. Fans checking into the event will also receive a limited-edition Raptors x Vancouver T-shirt, with the purchase of the specialty Raptors dish, while supplies last.
That shirt will feature a new logo created for the event.

This will be the 20th game of the NBA Canada Series since its inception in 2012, and the seventh to be held in Vancouver. The last time Toronto played in the city was back in 2023, when they defeated the Sacramento Kings 112-99 in a preseason matchup.
The Raptors aren’t the only NBA team that will be calling Vancouver home for the next little while. For some reason, the Dallas Mavericks have made the trek all the way from Texas to host their training camp at Simon Fraser University in nearby Burnaby.

While the upcoming NHL season is sure to have a lot of Vancouver Canucks fans excited, it will be the NBA that takes over the city before then.
