Queen Elizabeth Theatre is throwing a Mad Men–inspired costume party (CONTEST)
Every time we watch Mad Men, we wonder what it would have been like to thrive in the 1960s. The hustle, the charm, and the fashion: it’s all just so glamourous.
On Saturday, October 26 you’ll be transported back to the 60s without even leaving Vancouver. The iconic Queen Elizabeth Theatre is hosting its 60th birthday with a “Mid-Century Madness” 1960s-themed dress-up party, and you’re invited!
Since the event is just days before Halloween, it’s the perfect way to kick off the spookiest time of year in style. Dress up in your finest Don Draper or Peggy Olson-inspired outfits and get ready for a throwback night like no other.
Queen Elizabeth Theatre/Vancouver Civic Theatres
The elevated evening will begin with a glass of bubbly as guests make their way through the ultra-glam photo booth and explore art from the decade at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre lobby exhibits.
In true 1960s style, there will be show-stopping entertainment throughout the night, including a live performance by Vancouver’s own Dawn Pemberton and music by DJ Veronica and Trumpeter Malcolm Aiken.

Tickets for Mid-Century Madness are priced at just $19.59 via Ticketmaster — a price that further commemorates the theatre’s inaugural year, 1959.
