PWHL Vancouver is exactly one month away from playing its first-ever game.

Now we know what jerseys they’ll rock on opening night.

The team released jerseys for their inaugural season on Tuesday. With PHWL Vancouver remaining nameless until next season, they’ll sport “Vancouver” lettering across the front, similar to the New York Rangers’ primary jerseys.

PWHL Vancouver has also gone with blue and bronze as their primary colours, striking a resemblance to the Edmonton Oilers’ primary colours from their jerseys in the 2000s.

The home jersey will be blue, while the team is going with a cream base for the road uniforms.

ā€œI feel so excited that fans are finally getting to see our jerseys for the first time,ā€ PWHL Vancouver forward Sarah Nurse said in a press release.

ā€œIt truly feels surreal to think that in a month, I’ll be wearing that in a game for the first time. I already feel like we have such a strong fan base in Vancouver and can’t wait to compete on the ice in front of all of them on opening night!ā€

PWHL Seattle also released their jerseys on Tuesday. That team, which also remains without a name heading into the season, rocked a very similar design with different colours.

After the release of the PWHL Vancouver jerseys, fans had mixed reactions.

Some weren’t all that impressed with the new uniforms.

Some commented on the similarities between this and the Oilers jerseys.

Others, however, were enthralled with the new fits.

Both the road and home uniforms for PHWL Vancouver seemed to be getting some love.

PWHL Vancouver will host PWHL Seattle at the Pacific Coliseum for their first regular season contest on Friday, Nov. 21 at 7:00 p.m. PST.
