Pregnant woman loses baby in targeted East Vancouver shooting
Vancouver police have confirmed that a 31-year-old pregnant woman has lost her baby after being shot at an East Vancouver home this morning.
According to the VPD, the Vancouver woman and a 23-year-old Langley man are victims of the shooting, that took place on Friday morning at a home on Industrial Avenue near Station Street.
The man suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and the woman is in critical condition. The woman was in her third trimester and the unborn child did not survive.

“It’s still very early in the investigation, but initial information leads us to believe this was a targeted shooting, unrelated to gang conflict,” said VPD’s Constable Jason Doucette, in a release.
Detectives from the VPD’s Major Crime Section are asking anyone with information about this shooting, or who was in the area around the time of the incident, to call them at 604-717-2541 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
