Prado Cafe has opened some beautiful new locations over the last few years, but sadly the much-loved local brand has also just closed one down.

The concept’s 117 Water Street location has now permanently shuttered.

This particular cafe was known for its close proximity to Gastown’s iconic steam clock as well as its two levels of seating. It officially closed on February 27.

Prado left a note on its door thanking patrons for their support over the years and directed them to head to its 100 West Hastings Street location when they need a delicious baked good, sandwich, or of course, a quality cup of Joe.
