Arrest made after man fatally shot near Main Street in Vancouver

Police are investigating after a man was fatally shot near Main Street in Vancouver.

On Tuesday, around 9:45 pm, the Vancouver Police Department (VPD) received reports of a shooting at an apartment building near Main Street and East 35th Avenue.

Upon arriving, officers say they entered the residence and discovered an adult male, deceased from gunshot wounds.

A 30-year-old Vancouver man has been arrested in connection to the offence, however, a media release says that the investigation is ongoing.

This is Vancouver’s fifth homicide of 2019.
