25-year-old Abbotsford man in hospital after being stabbed by partner

A 25-year-old is in the hospital after reportedly being stabbed by his partner over the weekend.

The incident took place on Sunday morning, just after 1 am, according to an emailed statement from the Abbotsford Police.

First responders were called to the 2700 block of Fairlane Street after receiving reports of a man being stabbed.

The 25-year-old male was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

According to police, a 24-year-old woman, the victim’s significant other, was arrested for aggravated assault and remains in police custody.

Major Crime Detectives and the Forensic Identification Section are continuing to investigate the incident.
