The Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) has unveiled the details of its 2020 fair.

And while organizers say that they won’t be able to host their “traditional” celebration, they’re finding ways to keep the unique and vibrant experience alive for 2020.

This year, the PNE will be hosting a drive-thru experience, giving visitors a taste of all their favourite events and attractions.

Patrick Roberge, Creative Director for the PNE, says that they wanted to focus on showcasing “those special PNE memories” and bringing British Columbians together.

The drive-thru experience will take place from August 22 to 30 (closed on Monday, August 24).

It’ll feature plenty of fan favourites such as a SuperDogs tailgate party, drive-thru agriculture displays with barnyard animals, a PNE Reverse Parade, “larger-than-life dinosaurs,” and ticket sales for the PNE Prize Home.

And of course, what would the fair be without iconic food like Hunky Bills, mini donuts, corn dogs, and poutine.

The experience will take place from 11 am to 7 pm daily and costs $25 per vehicle, regardless of the number of passengers.

Not to mention, each visitor will receive two tickets to next year’s PNE Fair as well as a souvenir face mask.

Playland will also remain open on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays until September 7. The amusement park will also be open late on August 22, which is the opening day of the PNE Fair.
