Playland, Vancouver’s iconic amusement park, will reopen to the public starting this week.
On Friday, July 10, the long-standing attraction will begin its modified Summer 2020 season. The park will operate on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Visitors will be required to pre-purchase tickets in advance for specific dates and time slots.
Visits will be divided into either a morning time slot (10:30 am to 2:30 pm) or an afternoon slot (3:30 to 7:30 pm).

The initial opening of the amusement park will only see a select number of rides and attractions available to visitors:

Playland is expected to increase the number and type of rides available to visitors in future phases.
A select number of food and beverages will also be available including Fundunkers mini donuts, Triple O’s, and candy floss. Visitors are asked to bring tap-enabled cards as the park will be using “cashless procedures” for purchases.
Some of Playland’s safety precautions include limiting the capacity at the park, maintaining physical distance as much as possible, and installing plexiglass shields where possible.
In addition to enhanced cleaning measures, visitors are also asked to use hand sanitizer before and after each ride. Masks will also be required while in line for a ride and on the ride, with Playland providing visitors with a complimentary souvenir face mask.
Tickets to playland are $29.50 and parking is $10; children under the age of three enter for free with a paying adult.
