Playland is gearing up to open for its 2026 season, and thrill-seekers in Vancouver will have new ticketing options to choose from as they plan their next visit.

BC’s most iconic amusement park officially opens on Saturday, May 16, and season and single-day passes are now on sale.

Playland also announced today that it will be offering more “flexible, affordable” ticket options to improve access and value for guests.

This includes shorter visits and an enhanced season pass for 2026.

One of the new options is the evening passes that will be available every Friday and Saturday in July and August (except on event nights).

Evening passes grant access to the park from 5 to 9 p.m. for $30, creating what Playland calls “a convenient and cost-effective option for families and visitors.”

There will also be an enhanced season pass, with a refreshed lineup offering more flexibility for the guests as well as added perks.

And Playland is also offering select passes at a discount for a limited time, including Fun Passes starting at $30.35 and Thrill Passes at $40.38 online before May 8.

There are over 30 rides and attractions to enjoy at Vancouver’s favourite amusement park, ranging from family-fun rides to extreme, heart-racing attractions.

Prepare yourself for the sky-high Atmosfear, the timeless Wooden Roller Coaster, and of course, The Beast — the massive pendulum that stands 12 storeys tall and swings at speeds of 90 km/h.

The amusement park also offers a variety of exciting activities to enjoy during your visit, including mini golf and a climbing wall. You can also try to win a prize in one of the midway games.

Playland Unlocked on opening weekend will welcome visitors with live DJs, special games and a chance to win prizes.

This year also marks the return of Playland Nights, a partnership between PNE and Feaster.

“For three Saturdays in June (June 13, 20, and 27), Playland will once again transform into an adults-only evening experience,” said the PNE in a release. “Running from 6 to 11 p.m., each of the three nights will feature a distinct theme—ranging from wine and food pairings to cocktail festivals and craft beer experiences—paired with live music, curated food offerings, and full access to rides.

“The result is a series of immersive, adults-only events that blend the energy of Playland with Vancouver’s food and beverage culture.”
