Pinterest Recipe Wins: Nutella Cookies

Dec 19 2017, 3:24 pm

Nutella, flour, egg. That’s all you need for this week’s Pinterest recipe win. It’s very likely that you already have these things in your kitchen. So crank your oven to 350 degrees F, and follow along!

I must say I don’t normally have Nutella in my house, so this cookie recipe inspired me enough to go out, get into my car and BUY Nutella just so I can have these little bites of deliciousness. Here is the pin that started it all.

Ingredients

Nutella Cookie Ingredients

  • 1 cup Nutella
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg

Optional Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 1 cup quick oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (gives more depth to the flavour of the cookie)

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Combine all ingredients.
  • Form into one tablespoon-sized balls.

The dough will look crumbly when it’s all combined. But don’t worry, it will come together when you form it into a ball. I prefer using an ice cream scoop for this job, but you can also just spoon out the dough into your hand and roll it into a ball. Nutella Cookie Ingredients

I used a non-stick silicon baking mat. You can also grease your cookie sheet with butter or non-stick spray, or use parchment paper. You can space the dough balls pretty close together because they are not going to spread much. Once you have them lined up, just press it down a little bit with the palm of your hand.Nutella Cookie - Formed Dough

Bake for 10 minutes.

I added chia seeds to this batch, and I have also made a batch previously with oats added as well. I just pretend the cookie is healthier than it actually is when I add these extra ingredients.

Here are the finished Nutella cookies! Yields about 15 cookies.
