One of Metro Vancouver’s largest Filipino festivals will be taking place this weekend.
On Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, June 9, Philippine Days 2019 is making its annual return to Waterfront Park in North Vancouver.
The two-day festival showcases some of the best in Filipino culture, including authentic cuisine, live performances, parade demonstrations, and more than 75 food and merchandise booths, set up around the park.
The north side of the festival ground will be transformed into a dedicated food court, where visitors can find freshly-made, authentic Filipino cuisine from some of Metro Vancouver’s best restaurants.
In front of the food court will be a large stage with live music, dancing, and raffle prizes going all weekend long.
Thousands of attendees are expected, stemming from Metro Vancouver, as well as visitors from across the border.
The venue, Waterfront Park, is a five-minute walk from Lonsdale Quay and easily accessible by SeaBus or transit.
Free weekend parking can also be found at Lonsdale Quay but is often limited, so anyone who wishes to park is advised to come early.
Attendees are also recommended to bring cash.
