Pet-A-Palooza, being billed as the West Coast’s largest pet festival, is making its annual return to the Yaletown neighbourhood this weekend.
A collection of adorable canines, young and old, big and small, are expected to take to Mainland Street with their owners this Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm.
Highlights of the festival include:
- Bulldog races
- A puppy stampede
- Weiner dog races
- Swag-bags
- Photobooths
The winners of the puppy stampede and bulldog races will win over $500 in prizes from Bully Bits, Purica, The Honest Kitchen, and Barking Babies, to name a few.
The event will also be littered with plenty of vendors with treats for owners and their four-legged friends.
Furry visitors will also have a chance to try treats from the JD Farms “raw food bar,” while vendors answer any questions that owners might have.
To help stay cool, dogs will be able to visit dedicated cool-down stations and a puppy waterpark.
As always, the event is free to attend. Owners and their pets who are interested in participating in the races are advised to arrive with ample time for signup.
