Perverted Ice Cream is opening in Vancouver this week (PHOTOS)
While the mystery behind soon-to-be-open Perverted Ice Cream parlour is still very much alive, we at Daily Hive have managed to get a few more details about the intriguing new Thurlow Street spot.
The person behind the concept, branding, merchandise, and store design, Jade Ratcliffe, told us he’s excited to unveil the fresh concept to Vancouver come opening day, which is on May 16.

Perverted will be opening at 797 Thurlow Street, the former space of Cupcakes on Thurlow and the shop will be open daily from 11 am ’til late, like 2 am late.
Obviously, from the unconventional name and vibes, this isn’t your typical family-run ice cream shop. The space is a tiny 180 sq. ft. but every detail has been planned out, down to the music and the merchandise that will be sold alongside the ice cream.

The creative explained the concept for Perverted isn’t what you might think it is, “it’s only as perverted as you are.”
Ratcliffe also said that “there’s a lot of easter eggs” when it comes to Perverted.
But what can we expect for sure from the ice cream shop?
Well, an amazing soft serve recipe for one, it’s described as Whole Foods vibes without a high price tag, as you’ll find gourmet ingredients, organic milk, and homemade waffle cones here.
For the soft open, Perverted will be offering patrons 4 Days of 4 Play, where all cones and cups are just $4 for the first four days.
There will be four different flavours available including Brand Spanking (cream/chocolate swirl soft serve with black perverted crumble, black chocolate shell, gold leaf, black chocolate wafer), Misfit (cream soft serve with matcha white chocolate pizzaz, pink roxy dust, salt & vinegar crumble, black chocolate drizzle), and Cocoa-Dependency (chocolate soft serve with rich chocolate sauce, cocoa, shaved milk chocolate, salted chocolate square).

Eventually Perverted will carry 8-12 flavours, and after the soft open a cone or a cup will be $6.
You’re not going find any candy floss, sugary syrups, or cookie dough-topped cones here, just one-of-a-kind soft serve with vibes like “nothing else in Vancouver.”
Safe to say we’re excited to check it out for ourselves.
