The end of summer just got a little bit better.

Earlier this week, the Vancouver Park Board announced on Twitter that two outdoor pools would be extending their summer schedules.

The Kitsilano and New Brighton pools will extend their schedule and stay open until Sunday, September 15.

If you haven’t had your fill of swimming this summer, make sure you to do so at these two outdoor pools.

Kitsilano Pool is 137 metres and includes a water park and saltwater pool. The pool underwent a renovation in 2018 for $3.3 million and included repairs to the pool deck and addition of pumps to replenish seawater and for dewatering.

According to CNN, Kitsilano was ranked as one of the world’s “best tidal and oceanside pools” and the only location in North America to make the list.

New Brighton pool has a heated leisure pool and a sloped beach-style entry for children.
