Orca pod stuns visitors at West Vancouver's Whytecliff Park (VIDEO)

A number of park visitors were treated to a stunning up-close and personal encounter with a pod of orca whales over this past weekend.

Natalia Kotowska was one of the lucky few who caught sight of the animals. She ventured out to West Vancouver’s Whytecliff Park on Sunday, February 14, in the early afternoon.

“It was absolutely magical with the snow and everything,” she tells Daily Hive. “It was an amazing experience for me as I absolutely love nature.”

Kotowska says she’s since learned that the orca pod consisted of three females and one male.
