1 more person has died from coronavirus in Alberta

Alberta announced one more death in the province due to coronavirus Tuesday.

According to Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw in her daily press conference, the latest update brings the province-wide number of deaths to nine.

There are now 754 cases of coronavirus in the province.

“Sadly, I was just informed of an additional death reported in the Calgary Zone, at McKenzie Towne Long Term Care,” said Hinshaw in the press conference.

“On behalf of all Albertans, I convey condolences to this individual’s family. This is another  tragic case of COVID-19 at it’s worst.”

Alberta also announced five additional deaths in the province on Monday, including one man in his 30’s from Northern Alberta.
