The long-awaited grand opening of Oakridge Park mall and Time Out Market took place earlier today, and it drew large crowds and lines of people eager to get inside.
Daily Hive was on the scene, and we got some photos of the hordes of people who were marking the occasion that is years in the making.
Oakridge officially closed in the fall of 2020, so it has been six years since the neighbourhood around Cambie and 41st Avenue has had a shopping centre, but the new Oakridge Park bears very little resemblance to the former shopping centre.
The new mall is a lot more focused on high-end luxury brands.

Despite today being the grand opening, there’s still some work left to be done in some of the exterior and interior areas of the mall, including the parking lot, which prompted the need for a temporary overflow parking lot option during the opening weekend.

One of the main draws of the new Oakridge Park mall is Time Out Market, a high-end food hall with a select curated group of vendors, which you can read more about on Dished Vancouver.
The Time Out Market grand opening was also today, and the place was unsurprisingly crowded, too.
