Dinner on the Pier is returning to North Vancouver this summer

Dining al fresco this summer shouldn’t be reserved to a barbecue at the beach because you’ve got a much more magical option.

The fifth annual Dinner on the Pier is taking place on Wednesday, August 7 and it’s set to transform North Vancouver’s most scenic spot for an unforgettable dining experience. Surrounded by friends, old and new, you’ll be overlooking the Burrard Inlet instead of the four walls of a restaurant.

Can you think of a better way to spend an evening this summer?

Dinner on the Pier was founded in 2014 by two North Vancouver residents who were determined to bring a new kind of celebration to their community. The event is driven by the energy of Lower Lonsdale locals who have the opportunity to meet and connect with their neighbours offline.

“The North Vancouver businesses and community are rapidly growing, and we want residents to put their phones away and meet each other over an incredible evening,” says co-founder Alex Troll, who produces the event along with entrepreneur Adriana Koc-Spadaro.

The pair also want to empower and inspire more women in business to dream big and take more leaps of faith, just like they did. This year’s beneficiary of partial proceeds is Wish Vancouver, who have been helping women on the downtown eastside for 35 years.

Dinner on the Pier kicks off in stylish fashion with cocktails, appetizers, and entertainment in The Pipe Shop, before guests make their way to a table under the lights at the Burrard Dry Dock Pier.

On the pier, you’ll get to enjoy a four-course dinner by Chef Joel Green of the Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier, choosing from meat, fish, or vegan options. Of course, the meal is coupled with a decadent dessert, as well as wine and beer selections.

To make the evening even more special, live music will be performed by Musos Entertainment.
