Canadian band Nickleback has taken part in a cheeky new Google Photos ad where they’ve repurposed their 2005 song Photograph to croon about the media organization app.
The video ad starts out the same as the original hit, but lead singer Chad Kroeger soon switches up the lyrics as he swipes through his old photos.
“Falling down the photo rabbit hole / is it my hair or just a ramen bowl? … Every memory regretting all my hairstyles / if you wove it all together it would go for miles / it’s hard to braid it, time to shave it,” he sings, to a photo montage of his blond locks being cut into a shorter style.
The ad was created by Arts & Letters Creative Co. for Google, and it’s called Look at Your Photographs, which is what the Google Photos tool helps users do.
“Nickelback and Google Photos take the internet on a trip down memory lane,” the ad agency says on its website.
Daily Hive has reached out to Arts & Letters for comment but has not yet heard back.

Here are the complete lyrics to the re-worked song:
Look at this photograph
Every time I do it makes me laugh
Must have shot a million more
Of my dessert but I don’t know what for
And this is where we come from
These matching suits are looking pretty dumb
Falling down the photo rabbit hole
Is it my hair or just a ramen bowl.
Oooohh, my eyeeees
Every memory regretting all my hair styles
If you wove it all together, it would go for miles
It’s hard to braid it, time to shave it.
Good-bye / Highlights
Every memory we never have to look for
They no longer have to spread out on the bedroom floor
It’s time to say it, gotta say it
Good times, Good times
Look at this photograph
Every time I do it makes me laugh
Every time I do it makes me…
