One of hockey’s most popular reporters is moving on from his current outlet.
Frank Seravalli announced today he will be leaving Daily Faceoff and looking for a new job starting July 1. Seravalli has more than 360,000 followers on X and is one of the sport’s most well-known media personalities.
The 36-year-old has been a major personality across all outlets for Daily Faceoff. He often writes articles for the website, produces a ton of video content, and breaks stories from across the hockey world on social media.
Seravalli announced the news on X, writing, “My time [at Daily Faceoff] is winding down. My decision. It’s been an incredible journey building a premier hockey media brand, and I’m grateful for every second.”
He explains that he’s excited for his next project and tells followers to “stay tuned” for what’s coming.
Personal news: My time @DailyFaceoff is winding down. My decision. It’s been an incredible journey building a premier hockey media brand and I'm grateful for every second.
Like many in hockey, I’m a free agent on July 1 and can’t wait to dig in on my next ventures. Stay tuned.

Daily Faceoff hired Seravalli back in June 2021. He’s served as the hockey insider and president of hockey since, helping grow the company’s presence across the hockey media landscape.
Before taking his current job, Seravalli worked for the Philadelphia Daily News, covering the Flyers beat before moving to TSN, where he took on a more national role similar to what he does for Daily Faceoff. He often appeared on television for TSN, helping to break major hockey news stories alongside some of the top insiders in the industry.
Seravalli is also the president of the Professional Hockey Writers Association. He’s held the position since 2019 and helps govern the body that votes on many major NHL awards.
As one of the most connected reporters with a major social media following, there’s no doubt that Seravalli will bring a lot of eyeballs to wherever he goes next.
