Dosa & Curry on Davie

Aside from the obvious selection South and East Indian grub (they’ve got 30 varieties of dosa on the menu), this spot offers a $15 all-you-can-eat lunch buffet daily from 11 am to 3 pm – yes, even on weekends. Aptly named Dosa & Curry on Davie, the Indo Chinese fusion eatery opened July 13 at 1188 Davie Street.

Milssam Tacorea

The Korean Mexican joint offers a menu full of grub like tacos including a spicy pork, cauliflower, BBQ red chicken, kalbee brisket, seafood ceviche, and a ‘Milssam’ variety (beefy belly, onion, lettuce, gochujang vin). Milssam Tacorea also has several share plates like kalbee nachos with kimchi. People are also loving Mr. Osmad’s souffle cheesecake made fresh every 30 minutes.

A dreamy new green cafe and bakery opened today in Vancouver, and it’s aptly named The Garden. Located at 868 East Hastings Street, this new Strathcona gem is a cafe, bakery, shop, and space.

Mumbai Local

Mumbai Local promises authentic Indian street food and claims to be the first and “only Canadian spot specializing in Mumbai street food”. People are loving this spot’s offerings so far, including dabbas and curries galore.

It’s only been a short while since much-loved plant-forward eatery Lucha Verde closed its doors for good on July 22, and Tormenta has replaced it. From the same owners, this new spot is a new destination for Mexican street food at 1326 Davie Street.
