Blueprint’s newest bar, Colony, opened with the commitment to giving locals a true neighbourhood spot to call their own.
Located in Kitsilano at the old Billiards Hall, the space has been held for years within co-owner Bill Kerasiotis’ family. Now as Colony, the bar holds the vision to be the mainstay watering hole for the neighbourhood, offering amazing food, a stocked bar, nine TVs, a never ending playlist and room for all your friends and neighbours.
“The vision for Colony is a welcoming, carefree place to kick back and relax with friends any day of the week,” shares Bill Keriasotis. “I grew up here with family and friends, so it’s a dream come true to make this my own with those same sentiments rooted at the core.”
As Colony, the space focuses on raw undertones and takes on an unfinished look, lending to its casual charm. Design elements include cinderblock walls, an original wood beam exposed ceiling, reclaimed wood, an iron bar and tables and leather finishes on the furniture.
Offering over 100 seats for entertaining, come the warmer months, Colony will also open its patio doors to Kits’ sun-loving locals. With this many seats, guests can rest assure that Colony’s bar will always be stocked, alongside 10 beers on rotating taps, and daily $4 beers.
In addition to the kept bar list, those looking to grab a no-fuss bite to eat won’t be disappointed by Colony’s full menu of delicious favourites – including a gourmet Fry Bar, and Executive Chef Brett Turner’s amazing, award winning wings. Between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday to Friday, guests can also take advantage of the $10 lunch menu.
Just like entertaining at home, Colony believes music is essential to any good gathering and will provide its guests with endless tunes to groove to. On Friday and Saturday nights, energetic DJs will kick the atmosphere up a notch.
