106 new cases of coronavirus in Alberta, 2 new deaths

There are 106 new cases of COVID-19 in Alberta on Saturday, April 4, bringing the province-wide total of known cases to 1,181
There has also been 2 new deaths due to coronavirus, bringing the total number of Albertans who have died as a result of the virus to 20.

196 Albertans are also known to have recovered from the virus so far. No new recoveries were reported on Saturday.

Instead of a live update from Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw, the numbers were updated online at 5 pm.
On Friday, Hinshaw confirmed that a total of 137 cases are a result of community tranmission, an increase of 29 from Thursday.
