These new spots aren’t going to be your average deli counter by any means, and one of them won’t even have meat at all.

Sebastian & Co Fine Meats

An old-world artisan butcher shop is opening in Vancouver, and the countdown is officially on because we are excited. Located at 1299 Howe Street in Yaletown, this will be the first Vancouver location but the second shop overall for West Vancouver’s Sebastian & Co Fine Meats. The new spot is aiming to open its doors in early 2021 and will feature a takeout sandwich section for those looking for eats on-the-go, along with a broth bar too.

The Very Good Butchers offers plant-based eats, so you will not find any meat here. The Vancouver flagship in Mount Pleasant will offer a similar vibe and menu as its OG Victoria one, but we’re told folks can expect the handmade vegan comfort eats to be slightly more elevated here. In addition to ready-to-eat and grab-and-go hot and cold morsels, The Very Good Butchers will offer customers a selection of its own packaged, butchered plant-based meats like Roast Beast or a pack of Bangers to name a few.

Calling all steak lovers, the Toptable Group is gearing up to open a brand new quality provisions spot and butcher shop: Luigi & Sons. This new destination is brought to us by the team behind Elisa steakhouse, so you know it’s going to be good (and John Cena approved). While we don’t know too many details at the moment, we do know that Chef Andrew Richardson’s team will be offering up top cuts of meat, takeaway sandwiches, salads, and provisions like olive oil and custom rub from this new concept.
