Two 2000s R&B legends team up for huge Vancouver concert this spring

The list of Vancouver concerts happening in 2026 continues to grow, and local music fans will be thrilled to see 2000s R&B icons Ne-Yo and Akon added to the list.

The award-winning hitmakers are teaming up for the newly announced Nights Like This global tour, coming to Rogers Arena on Wednesday, June 17.

Ne-Yo and Akon, who released a promo video for the tour highlighting some of their biggest hits, are playing in several Canadian cities this year. Tickets go on sale on Friday, Jan. 30, at 10 a.m.

Nights Like This is a world tour celebrating Ne-Yo and Akon’s biggest hits, with the two artists sharing the stage in a “back-and-forth set” packed with sing-along favourites and club anthems.

Ne-Yo is a three-time Grammy Winner behind timeless songs like So Sick, Closer, and Because of You. He has written massive hits for Rihanna and Beyonce, is a two-time BET Award winner, and was recently awarded a Key to the City of Las Vegas.

Akon is a five-time Grammy nominee known for hits like Smack That, I Wanna Love You, and Right Now. He has sold over 35 million albums worldwide, is the first solo artist in history to hold the top two spots on the Billboard Hot 100, and is in the Guinness Book of World Records as the best-selling artist for master ringtones.

The R&B superstars are the latest music superstars to announce a show in Vancouver this year.

They join huge acts like PinkPantheress, Bruno Mars, and Kid Cudi, who just announced his own show at Rogers Arena this summer.
