It’s no secret that Vancouver is matcha crazy and has been for years, but there’s about to be a new destination to get in on our favourite green flavour.
Japanese mega-chain Nana’s Green Tea is opening its first Canadian location on June 6.
- Iconic Japanese matcha cafe opening this summer in Richmond
- Blaze Pizza is giving out FREE pizza this week
- Celebrate the re-opening of Denny's on Davie with 99¢ Grand Slams
Located at 2135 W 41st Avenue in Vancouver’s Kerrisdale neighbourhood, Nana’s Canadian flagship store has around 25 seats and a stellar menu of matcha treats and drinks for patrons to get into.
Foodies can get excited about matcha lattes, matcha and rice dumplings flour parfaits, a variety of homemade Japanese sweets, and savoury dishes like tuna and rice bowls.
There will also be seasonal offerings available at this spot when things get in full swing.
The cafe represents new Japanese style branding with traditional Japanese flavours. Known for using tea leaves from Uji, Kyoto, one of the most famous tea-producing
sites in Japan.
Nana’s has a whopping 97 stores worldwide, and only 16 of those are located outside of Japan, so Vancouver should count itself lucky.
