1. Bestie
Chinatown’s finest currywurst makers also offer a sweet German-style weekend brunch service. This sausage and beer parlour offers selections like this Leberkäse breakfast melt, spätzle (a soft egg noodle scramble with egg and sausage), and some stellar housemade caesars.

2. Caffe Barney
If you’re ever in South Granville or in the Main Street area looking for a quaint spot to enjoy a quality brunch, check out Caffe Barney. This little eatery’s two locations have an awesome menu with tons of options for all the classics, including the ability to make any omelette a scrambler with toast and hashbrowns. Barney’s Bennys don’t disappoint either, and they even have a surf and turf variety available.

3. Jamjar
Enjoy a healthy Lebanese brunch from one of this mostly-vegan restaurant’s two locations (South Granville, Commercial). Only the South Granville location incorporates eggs into their brunch service, while the Commercial Drive location features a dish called foole in its place – a garbanzo bean and garlic lemon juice combo. Other dishes include Zaatar Saj, mint Labneh, and delicious pickled eggplant to name a few.

4. Jules Bistro
Head to Jules for a brunch packed with French flavour and charm. With a selection of items like fresh baked mini butter croissants, a breakfast cassoulet, quiche, and an authentic croque monsieur or madame – you’ll leave here full and happy after your weekend meal.

5. Mensch Jewish Delicatessen
Only offered one day a week, brunch at Mensch is a must-try. Mensch offers a small selection of dishes like a hot pastrami latke hash, breakfast reuben, and eggs on lox – but these items are all you need in order to be happy at a brunch, seriously.

6. Terroir Kitchen
Starting Saturday, April 29, Terroir Kitchen will be offering brunch service on Saturdays and Sundays, which is pretty damn exciting. Patrons who head here for their mid-morning meal can expect eight fresh Southern European-influenced dishes, like slow-cooked venison ragu with soft poached eggs, Italian-style French toast, smoked sablefish, skirt steak and cotechino, a housemade pork and olive sausage.

7. Virtuous Pie
This fast-casual, handcrafted plant-based pizza and ice cream shop is venturing into brunch territory, but only for a limited time. From Saturday, May 6 to Sunday, June 11 you can head into Virtuous Pie on weekends from 11 am to 2 pm and enjoy a unique brunch service. The menu includes a mix of savoury and sweet pizzas, bowls, and sides.
