Dear Rouge, a Pop/Rock duo consisting of Drew and Danielle McTaggart, is based out of our own backyard. Vancouver, Canada. It’s a sweet story. In summer of 2009, Danielle & Drew were pursuing music projects while touring separately across Canada. After meeting and discovering that they had a genuine connection, they decide to team up and collaborate, which led to their first hit single- Heads Up! Watch Out!
After receiving positive feedback from the industry and their fans, they decided to take their music on the road and toured Europe the following summer. Soon, they were known as ‘Dear Rouge’, and have completed their first EP, and another is in the works.
When Danielle and Drew heard about the Peak Performance Project, they recognized that it was a golden opportunity to be heard, so they entered and were accepted. Now they are one of the 20 contestants.
“We saw this as a chance for our music to get noticed, for us to grow as musicians and to meet fellow artists. The entire experience has been amazing. We feel inspired and taken to a whole new level of excitement,” says Danielle McTaggart.
“We plan on continuing to write more songs, record music, and create music videos. We have lined up some shows and are really excited to share our other singles.”
Danielle and Drew are now married. In fact, they just celebrated their first anniversary. They are partners on many levels.
Their latest single is ‘You Step Out of Nowhere’, which Danielle wrote for Drew. The video has her singing while being flung around on a roller coaster.
