'Mr. Tonkatsu' has opened its first BC location in Surrey

A popular deep-fried pork cutlet spot from Toronto just opened its first BC location in Metro Vancouver.

Mr. Tonkatsu has opened at 10320 152 St A in Surrey, right across from right across Guildford Mall.

Known for its authentic deep-fried pork cutlet served with shredded, unlimited cabbage salad, sweet sauce, and housemade panko, Mr. Tonkatsu currently operates a handful of locations in Ontario.

Folks can enjoy straight-up pork katsu or the cheese-filled pork cutlet too, along with donburi, curry, and Japanese-style chicken karaage.

Mr. Tonkatsu Surrey is open Tuesday to Friday from 11:30 to 2:30 pm and 4:30 to 9 pm, Saturday from 11:30 am to 9 pm, and Sunday from 11:30 to 8 pm.
