21 movies and TV shows filming in Vancouver this March
Hello March! It’s pretty neat when your favourite flick is filmed right in your hometown. The possibility of spotting that character you love – or the one you love to hate – while showing that Vancouver pride, and taking in beautiful BC on the big screen, are all possible with these hometown productions.
Here are 21 TV shows and movies filming in Vancouver this March.

Bermuda Triangle
While the plot of this mystery thriller is being kept under wraps, Bermuda Triangle begins production in Vancouver starting mid-March. Director for the feature film will be Sam Raimi, best known for directing the original Spider-Man trilogy and Disney’s The Great and Powerful OZ.
A Score to Settle
A Score to Settle began filming in Vancouver this February and will continue through to May. Starring Nicolas Cage, the movie is about an ex-enforcer who wants redemption for a crime that put him away for 22 years.
The Perfection
Starring Allison Williams and Logan Browning, The Perfection started filming in Vancouver in February and will wrap up in March. The movie is said to be a horror-thriller about a cello prodigy and is being directed by Richard Shepard.
Daughter of the Wolf
Canadian director and Toronto native, David Hackl will be shooting this new feature film throughout March in Vancouver. So far there have been no details surrounding the plot, but if this thriller is anything like Hackl’s previous work on films Saw II, Saw III and Saw IV, then get ready to be scared!
Bad Times at the El Royale
Starring Chris Hemsworth and Jeff Bridges, Bad Times at the El Royale will be filming in Vancouver through to April. The movie is set in the 1960s and while the plot is being kept under wraps, it is said to be about a rundown hotel in California. New additions to the cast in January included Russell Crowe and Dakota Johnson.
The Kimberlite Process
Starring longtime actor Sir Ben Kingsley, this new thriller is set to begin filming in Vancouver starting March 19.
Riverdale – Season 2
The hit Netflix show Riverdale will be filming in Metro Vancouver this March. It’s your last chance to catch your favourite stars in action before they wrap up filming of the second season!
Trial & Error – Season 2
Trial & Error will begin filming its second season this March in Vancouver. The show has a new cast member, Kristin Chenoweth, who is replacing John Lithgow as the show’s new accused killer. Other main cast members include Nicholas D’Agosto, Sherri Shepherd, Steven Boyer, Krysta Rodriguez and Jayma Mays.
Sacred Lies – Season 1
Known as the first Facebook TV series, Sacred Lies will start production in town this March and wrap sometime in May. Apparently the new horror series is centered around a young girl who is missing her hands and manages to escape from a cult only to end up in juvenile detention. Casting for this new series has yet to be announced to the public.
Salvation – Season 2
Salvation is filming its second season in Vancouver this March through to August. Starring Santiago Cabrera, Jennifer Finnigan and Ian Anthony Dale, this suspense-thriller series is set to air this summer.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina – Season 1
Sabrina the Teenage Witch is getting a revamp! An adaptation of the comic book series, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is set to film in Vancouver this month and is expected to be in town all the way till December. The Netflix series stars Kiernan Shipka as main character Sabrina Spellman, along with costars Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Michelle Gomez, Lucy Davis, Miranda Otto, and Richard Coyle
Take Two – Season 1
Starring The OC’s Rachel Bilson, alongside Eddie Cibrian, Take Two is a new ABC series that will be filming in town this March. The series will center around Bilson who plays the former star of a hit police TV series who, after rehab, teams up with a private investigator to solve crimes.
Van Helsing – Season 3
Van Helsing will begin production of season three in Vancouver through to June. Starring Kelly Overton, the series follows Vanessa Helsing who is the daughter of vampire slayer Abraham Van Helsing.
Herbie – Season 1
Remember Herbie the ‘talking’ Volkswagen Beetle?! This new series will be a total reboot of the Disney franchise which began back in 1968 with The Love Bug film. Herbie season one — also being referred to as Fast Layne — will be on location from February through to March.
Blue Book – Season 1
Set to premiere on the History Channel in 2018, Blue Book will continue filming in Vancouver through to April and stars Aidan Gillen, Laura Mennell, and Michael Harney.
This science fiction drama series is based around the US Air Force sponsored investigation into UFO-related phenomena from the ’50s and ’60s, known by its code name, “Project Blue Book”.
A Series of Unfortunate Events – Season 2 and 3
Calling all Neil Patrick Harris fans! NPH will be in the Vancouver area filming for season two and three of A Series of Unfortunate Events through April 2018.
Based on the books by Daniel Handler, the show follows the lives of Violet, Klaus and Sunny, three siblings who just lost their parents in a mysterious fire.
Once Upon a Time – Season 7
The fairy tale continues at Steveston Village this March to film the latest installment of Once Upon a Time. The seventh season is said to be a total reboot and will feature all new season regulars, with a few of the old favourites returning like Rumplestiltskin and Captain Hook.
Supernatural – Season 13
Back for its 13th season, Supernatural will be filming in Metro Vancouver through April 2018. Starring Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, the series was renewed for another season in January and premiered on The CW at the beginning of October.
Arrow – Season 6
Arrow continues to shoot its sixth season in Vancouver through to April 2018, and star Stephen Amell was quoted saying he hopes this new season will be more like the actual comics.
The Flash – Season 4
The Flash will be on location in Vancouver filming for its fourth season through to April 2018. Episodes for season four began airing this past October on The CW.
Supergirl – Season 3
Supergirl is back to save the day! Season 3 of the hit series started filming in Vancouver this past summer and will continue through to April.
