Motely Crue have been to Vancouver a few times in the last two years, but this time around is going to be different as they are coming with Papa Roach, Buckcherry, Trapt and Sixx AM. Buckcherry’s music is a staple and can be heard playing at strip joints worldwide (especially at the Rhino), see “Crazy Bitch”. To be honest The Urban Dweller was a mere child when the Crue busted out on to the scene in the 80’s. I was more interested in learning the alphabet than about “Girls, Girls, Girls”.
Truth is you got to respect them for really living the rock n’ roll lifestyle to the fullest. “Sex, Drugs & Rock n’ Roll” = Motley Crue. I mean Tommy Lee was banging Pam Anderson in her prime (and on and off since then), that alone deserves praise of the highest kind. With their new album Saints of Los Angeles in stores and the CrueFest tour in full swing, who knows maybe hair metal will make a resurgence. The Urban Dweller hopes it doesn’t, however fans of that music sure as hell hope so.
The Show starts at 5pm at GM Place. The Suburban Don will be there with his signature white robe, cigar and a wig. Money J Skeets will also be selling bootlegged copies of the Crue’s latest offering.
