This $850 pizza could be the most expensive in Vancouver

It’s Pizza Week at Daily Hive Vancouver! Any way you slice it, we’ll have you covered from breakfast to dessert and every kind of pizza in between.

Pizza, the real fuel behind most of our undergrad years, and one of the best after last call snacks. Dough covered with melty cheese, sauce, and toppings can be the ultimate cheap treat.

Or it can be the ultimate indulgence if you’re up for an $850 splurge one what may be Metro Vancouver’s most expensive pizza.

No, that’s not a typo. Eight. Hundred. And. Fifty. Dollars. For a pizza.

This is the SeeNay pizza, and it comes from Steveston Pizza, the Richmond pizza joint that is anything but ordinary.

The Seenay says move over pepperoni and mushrooms, time for some seriously luxe toppings on this 12″ pie:

Medley of tiger prawns, lobster ratatouille, smoked steelhead, Russian Osetra caviar, snowed with Italian white truffles

Because who doesn’t like caviar and truffles on their pizza, right?

For ballers in a different price bracket, you can still order to impress at Steveston; they’ve got pizzas topped with Alaskan King Crab or lobster and other seafood for a mere $140-160.

And, yes, they’ve got less fancy pizzas, featuring all sorts of combos of seafood, meats, and veggies, for more “normal” prices. You can even just get one with plain ol’ pepperoni. But why?
