I haven’t bantered for a long time so I thought I’d throw some thoughts up on the blogosphere.

Many people may have noticed the shroud of smoke up over South Van on Saturday. Yes, it was a celebration of Diwali. Fireworks/firecrackers screeched up on every block. It is a festive time. Yes you can tell the difference between the firecrackers and “gun shots” as some white dude joked in central Van. On Halloween though I’d be a little bit careful… anywhere in Van… except the westside.

The Canucks are still trying to find perfect chemistry and Luongo is living up to his reputation for having slow starts to the season. He’s looked terrible in some match-ups but looks to be finally finding his game. It’s great to finally see a Canuck team throwing bombs like Al-Qaeda at the other net this season. It’s only a matter of time before they end up on the scoresheet.

However, the only sport that matters right now is baseball. Baseball playoffs are arguably more intriguing than any other sport. Pitch-by-pitch the game can change. This year, the World Series can potentially have the Dodgers vs. Yankees, with a showdown of Joe Torre vs. his former team the Evil Empire… or you can have Dodgers vs. Angels, Crips vs. Bloods. I’m cheering for the Dodgers to see either of these!
