Moncler opens shop in luxury Vancouver shopping district

A new luxury boutique has nuzzled its way into Vancouver’s high-end shopping district.

Moncler, a lifestyle brand famous for down jackets and ski and sport apparel, is opening up shop at 748 Thurlow Street across the street from the new Versace store and just around the corner from Tory Burch, De Beers Diamond, and Burberry. This is Moncler’s second Canadian location, next to Toronto and a small handful of U.S. boutiques, along with other shops in Europe and Asia.

Like their apparel, which includes items like a $4,010 fur-trimmed parka and a $2,045 men’s down jacket, the retailer says the design of the new store is based on natural materials.

“The result is a unique interior, with elegant French wood panelling in chêne fumé wood and grigio carnico marble inserts used for the floors and walls which adds movement to the space. The interior has once again been entrusted to Gilles & Boissier, an architecture studio which has worked alongside the brand for many years.”

Moncler’s Gamme Bleu and Moncler Gamme Rouge collections will be featured, along with Moncler and Moncler Grenoble ready-to-wear and accessory collections.

Along with jackets, the brand also makes boots, shoes, accessories and select pants and tops.
