In a move meant to provide “more fuelling options,” Parkland Fuel Corporation, along with mobile fuelling company Filld, have announced a new initiative to bring mobile fuelling service to consumers across Canada, starting here in Vancouver.

“Parkland is committed to offering customers choice when interacting with our market-leading brands across the country,” said Ian White, Vice President, Strategic Marketing, Parkland Fuel Corporation. “As the operator of the Chevron stations in BC, this innovative fuel delivery solution allows customers the opportunity to have quality fuel delivered to them in a safe and reliable manner in addition to filling up at one of our locations.”

Filld President and CEO Michael Buhr told Daily Hive his company is “thrilled” to be collaborating with Parkland.

“Parkland has invaluable industry expertise and a strong passion for customer innovation, and we’re excited to work together to expand access to Parkland’s fuel brands,” he added.

As for its pricing structure, Buhr said his company is “transparent” with how it operates.

“Before you make any kind of commitment to buying from us, you’re going to see that price in front of you,” he explained.

Buhr noted that the pricing is broken down two ways:

The first is the “the price of gas that we’re going to charge you and that price is outwardly calculated by us; the basic view is that we’re going to charge you whatever the average price is of gas stations around you.”

The second part of the pricing structure deals with the company’s service fee – a flat rate of $5.

“That fee allows you to fill any car in your driveway,” said Buhr.

At the end of the day, he added, “the simplest way to think about what we do is… we’re going to get your vehicles filled up with gas without ever having to get out and go to the gas station and we’re going to do it in a way that’s very convenient.”

As part of the collaboration, Filld will expand its mobile fuelling services to additional Canadian communities throughout 2019.
