UPDATE: Two 14-year-old girls who went missing after a visit to Burnaby’s Metropolis at Metrotown were found safe Wednesday evening. Mounties posted an update to Twitter just after 9 pm saying both girls were located safe and sound. They were missing for about 24 hours.
We are pleased to advise that the two 14-year-old girls who were the subject of a missing persons appeal earlier today have been located and are safe and sound.

The girls were reported missing by their families after going to the mall together. They were last seen there around 6:30 pm on Tuesday.
“It is out of character for both girls to go missing and to be out of contact with their family for this long,” the force said.
