A man who went missing in Abbotsford this week has now been found dead
A man who went missing this week in the area of Eagle Mountain of Abbotsford has now been found dead, police said on Friday.
According to Abbotsford RCMP, Brook Morrison went missing after going for a walk at 5:56 pm on Wednesday, and he was reported missing when he did not return to his residence on Clearbrook Road.
“Today, at approximately 11:45 am, Abbotsford Police and Search and Rescue volunteers located a deceased male in an area off Straiton Road,” police said in a statement. “It has now been determined that the deceased male is Brook Morrison.”
Police called the discovery “a tragic outcome for a missing person investigation,” but said foul play is not suspected in this case.
The investigation has now been turned over to the BC Coroners Service.
The Abbotsford Police Department extends condolences to the family and friends of Morrison.
