Minami releases epic bento feast for the holidays in Vancouver
It looks like it’s something out of a dream, but Minami’s Holiday Bento is 100% real and ready for your kitchen table, Vancouver.
Five gorgeous (emphasis on the gorgeous) tiers of the popular Yaletown restaurant’s signature fare comes with this exclusive takeout feast, which feeds four to six people.

Available from December 1 to 30, this offering is truly unreal. The stack comes with five distinct layers:
- Carpaccio Tier – Aburi beef carpaccio
- Holiday Zensai Tier – ebi fritters, chicken nanban, seasonal goma-ae, and Aburi tako
Land Entree Tier – AAA butler steak and chicken ballotine, obie brazier with roasted market vegetables - Aburi Oshi and Roll Tier – Aburi Salmon, Ebi, and Saba Oshi; Red Wave Roll, Champagne Roll
- Winter Desserts Tier – Green Tea Opera, Black Sesame Mochi Mousse, Passion Fruit Banana Tart, and Manjari Pot de Creme

The creation from Executive Chef Alan Ferrer is $250 for all five tiers.
If you and your household don’t need the entire bento tower, you can also order each layer a la carte.

For anyone looking to make some new foodie memories this season while safely tucked at home, we’d recommend trying this special offering while you can, and make sure your phone is charged for photos — your Instagram grid will be better because of it.
If it’s just you at home this season or you’re looking for a smaller spread, the Minami Signature Bento for one is available for $75 and it features Minami’s signature savoury appetizers like the Obie Brazier, flame-seared Aburi Sushi, and a choice between the AAA Butler Steak Don or Kaisen (Seafood) Don.
