One of Latin America’s most popular luxury resorts is expanding – and that’s great news for people in Vancouver looking to upgrade their careers.

Vida Vacations, the hiring and sales wing of Mexico’s most popular luxury resorts, will be holding a career fair at the Sutton Place Hotel where they’ll be looking for customer service, sales and marketing staff to work and live in the Mayan Riviera, home to all three of the top beaches in Mexico, according to USNews.

Why hire here when they are all they way down there? It turns out that Vancouver has proven itself to be the best source of great staff and customer service talent for the beachfront employer.

“Every time we have a major event that opens up more positions at our resort, the first place that we look is Vancouver,” says hiring manager Douglas Saunders. This time around, there are several major events that have brought the hiring managers back to our part of the world: First, they debuted Latin America’s only dedicated Cirque du Soleil show, “Joya”, at their resort at the end of 2014. Next, they’ll be developing what Yahoo Travel has called “The Most Mind Blowing Theme Park Ever.”

The resort’s marketing department is thinking even bigger than theme parks, however, as they’ve announced that they’ll be partnering with the upcoming Bond film ‘Spectre’ as an opportunity to show off the breathtaking property in the opening scene of the upcoming blockbuster.

Tourism is one of the most important growing sectors for Mexico,” says Daniel Chavez, Vice President of Grupo Vidanta. “The fact that such a storied international franchise as James Bond chose to film scenes of their latest blockbuster in Mexico is an honor and a testament to the growing appeal of Mexico as a destination. We’re grateful for the opportunity to help bring a new vision of Mexico to life.

With world class entertainment, plans for unrivalled attractions and the attention of the entire 007 world upcoming, it seems the world is not enough for these beachfront resorts.
