Metropolis at Metrotown is having a massive mall-wide Black Friday sale
The holiday season is the most joyous — and expensive — time of the year, and with November coming to a close, it’s almost here.
Keeping everyone on your gift list merry can take some planning: first by asking your loved ones what they want, and second by making sure you score the hottest deals possible while you fulfill those wishes.Â
Black Friday is a shopper’s dream, here to take some pressure off your shoulders and bank account. And for the seventh year in a row, Metropolis at Metrotown has you covered.
Metropolis at Metrotown is one of the biggest malls in Vancouver, with 375 stores that collectively serve around 28 million shoppers per year. Anyone who grew up around Metro Vancouver has probably killed lots of time there, either by hitting up the arcade and movie theatre, satisfying a craving at the food court, or wandering the seemingly endless aisles for hours on end.
Hitting the mall on the last weekend of November can save you some serious dough by helping you get all your shopping done in one fell swoop. Shops there are opening early and closing late over the three days to offer customers the most impressive deals of the year.
For the serious shoppers, you can get early morning access on the 29th at 6 am through the entrance closest to Customer Service Ground Level, near NYX. All other mall entrances will open at 6:30 am, and once 8 am hits, all the doors in the whole place will open.

Lots of stores are offering door crasher specials if you want to go the extra mile to be there early, and some will even hold their own hours for Black Friday. Even if you can’t be there for the crack of dawn, there are more than enough spots worth checking out — 375 of them, actually.
Major stores include H&M, Hudson’s Bay, Indigo, Old Navy, Real Canadian Superstore, Shoppers Drug Mart, SportChek, Toys “R” Us, Uniqlo, Urban Behavior, Winners HomeSense, and Zara.
