Many of Metro Vancouver’s farmers’ markets continue to run right into the winter season, bringing us joy all year round. If you can grow it, make it, or bake it – you can get it at these markets.

Nat Bailey Farmers’ Market
Head to the Nat Bailey Stadium this winter to find locally grown vegetables and fruit, meat, seafood, artisan cheese, bread, herbs, baked goods, prepared foods, and artisanal crafts. Once it gets colder you can expect to see food trucks (especially during Food Truck February), hot drink vendors, covered seating and warming stations, and live music.
When: Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm between November 4, 2017 and April 21, 2018
Where: Nat Bailey Stadium – 4601 Ontario Street, Vancouver
Cannery Farmers’ Market
The Cannery Farmers’ Market has products from local food producers and artisans who follow a “Make it, Bake it, Grow it, Catch it” philosophy. BC-produced vegetables, fruits, and meats are the central draw to this market, but there is also entertainment and guided tours of the heritage site (pay by donation).
When: Sundays from 10 am to 3 pm. Select days starting October 15, 2017 to April 22, 2018. Check out the full list of dates here.
Where: Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site – 12138 Fourth Avenue, Richmond
Granville Island Public Market
A famous, permanent year-long attraction full of colourful stalls that showcase unique, homemade products and the “finest in gastronomic delights”. From the ocean, oven, or field – Granville Market’s got it all.
When: Monday to Sunday from 9 am to 7 pm. Year-round.
Where: 1661 Duranleau Street, Granville Island, Vancouver
Hastings Park Farmers’ Market
Located between the Forum and the Agrodome, Hastings Market boasts a wide selection of local produce, fish, meat, dairy, artisan prepared foods, crafts, baking, and food trucks. The month of February is Food Truck Fest, something that occurs at both Hasting’s and Nat Bailey Farmers’ Markets.
When: Sundays from 10 am to 2 pm between November 5, 2017 to April 29, 2018 (except December 24 and 31)
Where: Hastings Skatepark – Renfrew Street, Vancouver
White Rock Farmers’ Market
White Rock’s fall and winter market has over 40 indoor and outdoor vendors, making it one of the biggest in BC. This event is packed with vendors old and new, so you’re bound to have an exciting time if you check it out.
When: Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm, between October and December
Where: Elks Hall – 1469 George Street, White Rock
New West Farmers’ Market
Open every second Saturday, the New West Farmers’ Market boasts an incredible lineup of vendors including local farmers, artisans, chefs and bakers. Amongst the 60+ vendors find Cannoli King with his irresistible Sicilian cannolis filled to order. Also be sure to visit Bose Farms for their selection of sustainably harvested winter produce.
When: Every second Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm between November 4, 2017 and April 21, 2018
Location: Belmont Street, New Westminster
Port Moody Winter Farmers’ Market
What once started as a small biweekly market in the lobby of Port Moody Recreation Centre has now grown to a weekly farmers’ market with 40+ vendors. Find locally grown fruits and vegetables from numerous farms such as Ripple Creek Organic, Snowy Mountain Organics and Wah Fung. Also bring home certified organic eggs from Rockweld Farm to enjoy with your fresh produce. If you are feeling hungry and wanting to eat at the market, there are always several food trucks on site.
