Metro Vancouver has experienced spurts of some very hot summer weather, and this trend is expected to continue for a while this week before temperatures cool down.
According to the latest forecast from Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), MetroVancouver temperatures on Wednesday are forecasted to be 24°C by the water and 27°C inland, but with the humidex factored in, it will feel like 31°C.
Thursday will also be hot, with inland highs of 26°C, but the humidex will make temperatures feel like 29 °C.

As we approach the weekend, temperatures will still be warm, but will lean towards the low to mid twenties, making for a reprieve from the heat.
ECCC predicts temperatures are expected to reach highs of 22°C on Saturday and Sunday, and 23°C on Monday.
And while summer isn’t over yet, the Farmers’ Almanac has already released its fall forecast for B.C.
It predicts that, for Canada as a whole, temperatures will trend cooler than usual, especially in the eastern provinces.
On the other hand, the Farmers’ Almanac notes B.C. will enjoy some of the warmest and temperate days in fall, particularly in early October and mid-November. We’ve seen this trend in recent years, with warmer temperatures than usual in the province.
But things will likely take a turn later in the season, as B.C. may experience stormy conditions and even wet snow as early as October.
In the meantime, be sure to take advantage of all that Metro Vancouver’s summer has to offer, and enjoy the cooler days to escape the heat.
