
After a mixed weather week throughout the region, Metro Vancouver can look forward to some of the highest temperatures of the year to start the new month.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), the first week of April brings loads of sunshine and warmth to Vancouver.
ECCC is also forecasting that inland temperatures will rise to over 20°C by the upcoming weekend.

The latest forecast shows that Metro Vancouver temperatures could hit a high of 21°C inland on Saturday, April 5, and 22°C on Sunday, April 6.

But don’t put away the coats and umbrellas just yet. The week starts with a chance of showers on Monday and Tuesday, and temperatures are expected to dip as low as 2°C overnight on Wednesday.
Lisa Erven, warning preparedness meteorologist with Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), told Daily Hive that the region can expect “fairly wild swings” during April and into May.

“Spring is a dynamic season as we’re moving from the coldest months to the warmest. This season can bring any type of weather, from late season cool temperatures to early heat events. Showers, thunderstorms, and sunshine are all possible.”
