Abbotsford goalie practices on frozen puddle (VIDEO)

We’re not exactly blessed with an abundance of outside rinks here in B.C. But that’s not stood in the way of one young goalie whose dedication to Canada’s national pastime has gone viral after a video of him practicing his moves on a frozen puddle surfaced on Facebook.

The video, which was posted by Abbotsford resident Sherena Doerksen alongside the caption “Only in BC”, has been viewed more than 228,000 times since it first hit the social network at the end of December.

While there was no news on the identity of the hockey-mad kid at the time of publication, if he’s not at the centre of a Vancouver goalie controversy in a decade’s time then we’ll be bitterly disappointed.
