Metro Vancouver forecast calls for more snow this week

Feb 3 2020, 4:53 pm

Metro Vancouver’s snowfall could continue early this week, according to Environment Canada.

Parts of the Lower Mainland saw snow on Sunday as temperatures dipped across the region.

Now, the weather agency is calling for a mix of weather starting on Tuesday. Snow begins in the morning before mixing with rain and wind in the late afternoon.

Tuesday is forecasted to be the coldest day of the week and Monday night’s temperatures are predicted to fall below zero, which could set the tone for accumulation early in the day.

Environment Canada says that Metro Vancouver could see total snowfall of up to 5 cm before the forecast returns to rain overnight and on Wednesday morning.
