Environment Canada’s latest forecast indicates there could be a multi-day break from rainfall beginning later in the week, with a mix of sun and cloud predicted from Thursday to at least Sunday.

But this will be accompanied with slightly colder conditions, with temperatures dipping below the freezing mark overnight on Friday and Saturday.

Sunny weather conditions could further develop into the following week if the high pressure system from the Pacific moves further inland.

However, before all of this happens, there will be a few more days of rainfall to endure, with the forecast calling for periods of rain from today to Wednesday. Precipitation on the North Shore mountains will fall as a mix of rain and snow.
