Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays?

Dec 19 2017, 11:44 am

Cruising through the world wide web I landed on Tyleringram.com. A great blog for all that have never been. Moving on, I read a post about political correctness during the holiday season, in this case it was in reference to a particular retail coffee chains Christmas cup (The cup looks absolutely amazing I might add). He brings up a good point. Now our society has become way to sensitive to what I feel are just words. To me “Merry Christmas” does not conjure up thoughts of Jesus or any other Christian element, should it? I don’t know. To me it is no more different than saying, “Happy Holidays” or “Seasons Greetings”. Of course this time of year you have Kwanzaa and Hanukkah as well and let us not forget Festivus as Phaedra kindly reminded me. I don’t know what are your feelings on this subject and politically correctness in general? I’m sure you know by now where Vancity Buzz stands.
