Merci Beaucoup Cafe is now officially open in Vancouver
There’s a new must-try restaurant grand opening in Vancouver today: Merci Beaucoup Cafe. The eatery has ties to much-loved local dining legend the Au Petit Cafe, a Main Street spot that closed its doors in spring 2020.
Au Petit shuttered after 25 years of business due to the pandemic, the owner told Dished Vancouver last year.
As sad as that was, we have some good news for fans of that now-closed concept — Merci Beaucoup Cafe is owned and operated by the former chef of Au Petit, Linda.
Linda has also hired the second main chef formerly at Au Petit, Simon.
“Together, they are very excited to cook for the community again,” a representative for the new cafe told Dished.

Located at 1468 Commercial Drive, Merci Beaucoup serves up traditional Vietnamese dishes and coffee in a space that offers Parisian cafe vibes, according to the restaurant.

Patrons can choose from a menu full of dishes like Banh Mi, Pho, Vermicelli Bowls, rice dishes, Vietnamese coffee, and more for both dine-in and delivery.
You can find this new joint open daily from 10 am to 7 pm except for Wednesday.
